early morning - autumnal sun.

elongated wave-lengths -
arriving
slanting through the trees.
wood-scent smoke - assailing senses -

lingering -

a solitary boy - walking the longstock-loop.
loves anticipation -
dreaming.
side-by-side - hand-in-hand -

desire -

undiminished by times frozen ground.
shortening days -
lengthening nights
arriving on the northern lights -

Note; The Longstock loop, is a loop walk through ancient Hampshire countryside following a path running past Danebury Hillfort and Longstock Village.

Danebury Hillfort was built around 600 BC and was in use for 500 years.

Its place, sitting in the countryside, is as much a sensation as a physical experience.
