Here’s looking at You

How do mirrors work?

Thinking back to when I was young
They must all have been of poorer quality.
Badly made - out of focus.

Because now -

The image I see in my mirror
Is sharper than the one I saw in my youth.
And even though I'm as blind as a bat

Today -

When I’m looking in my mirror
I can see more clearly
The person looking back.
